Real Bride Tash had a stunning destination wedding at Lanikuhonua - Oahu, Hawaii! Tash wanted a wedding gown that was classic in shape but with some unique elements to it that matched her personality. We found the perfect French lace that she was looking for which featured gorgeous large mesh and baroque style patterns within it. Tash also opted to have some fun with a bit of colour in a subtle way by using a pink silk dupion lining ending just above the knees. We were able to create a lovely sheer lace effect for the rest of the skirt and train of the gown. It was definitely a lot of fun for us at Jennifer Go Bridal Couture to create something so individual! We asked Tash to share a bit more about her lovely wedding day, see what she has to say below.
What was your overall experience like to have a bespoke gown made with us?
Jenni and all the ladies were absolutely lovely. I found Jenni through my sister who also had her dress designed. I'd recommend The Wedding Boutique to any future brides.
What made your wedding gown special?
I loved that I looked like a bride but still felt like myself in my dress. It suited my personality perfectly.
What was the most touching moment for you on your wedding day?
My husband's parents weren't able to make it to Hawaii, so my mother's speech welcoming him into our family and letting him know that everyone here was now his family was most touching for us.
What's the best piece of advice you can give to a bride who is looking for their gown?
Stay true to yourself and don't settle for anything less than perfect.
